A strong relationship with the counselor is essential for the counseling process. I believe that my most effective work is with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family of origin issues and trauma. I work extensively with clients who have personality disorders (ingrained patterns of self defeating behavior). My practice is geared toward adolescents 13 years old through senior adults. I work with individuals and couples/families.  I am working on certification in providing couple’s therapy utilizing the Gottman method.

I work in various ways with people and have had training in CBT therapy, Gestalt therapy, Couples counseling and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.  Counseling incorporates discovery of self defeating behaviors, learning new patterns of behavior to replace those self defeating processes and looking forward to a hopeful future.
